The CO committee will name its youth program after her.

“We (CO) are doing this in memory of Roz, a true superhero of our local community who’s enthusiasm for CO was legendary,” CO volunteer director Tanya Baricevich said.

Every year the CO committee supports many community organisations and charities through the Worthy Cause program. Together with the committee of the Slowest Lunch, all proceeds this year will go towards the Roz Moynihan Youth Development Program (RMYDP).

The RMYDP is all about training young people from the local area and giving them the skills to gain employment in this region, Ms Baricevich said.

“The CO team is hosting a traineeship in partnership with CVGT Australia.

“The traineeship aims to offer qualifications and experience as a festival administrator, working in a real-life festival environment.”

Last year, Kayleigh Hughes completed a Certificate IV in Project Management and trainee Jesse Thwaites is well on his way to completing his Certificate III in Business.

As a part of RMYDP, CO is offering to pay for RSAs and is offering work experience over the festival weekend.

“This will provide young people with a practical hospitality qualification and work experience,” Ms Baricevich said.

This year, the CO committee is also promoting local artists, designers and artisans.

“CO is looking for artists, designers or artisans to make a donation of works to the Worthy Cause,” Ms Baricevich said.

Past recipients of the Worthy Cause program have included the SES, CFA, the Hepburn Wildlife shelter, The Alana and Madeline Foundation and Daylesford and District Food Aid.

“We require auction items for the Slowest Lunch at the Argus Dining Room, with proceeds going towards the RMYDP,” Ms Baricevich said.
