ON the surface our society appears harmonious, but in reality many people can tell stories of adverse events that society have covered up, affecting them.
Adverse demands by child support, illness, neighbours, affairs, Centrelink decisions, Tax office rulings and so on creating hurt that will last a lifetime
Some are hidden under the cover of the Privacy Act, others by disgrace, and pride.
Surely the federal and state governments need to review what is covered under privacy and other Acts of parliament with the view of developing a society where through freedom of speech and the individual, more freedom of the press, many of the hidden issues can be made public in the interests of the public, and more help, including review of court decisions can be made.
It’s time we created better freedoms for all.
