All Daylesford soccer teams will be open for old and new player registration this coming Sunday, February 16, at Victoria Park Oval 2, at noon.
Players and potential players will have a chance to ask questions of the coaches and committee and register players either on the day, or online at home.
Music and a barbecue will keep everyone entertained, with a good turn-out expected.
The Daylesford and Hepburn United Soccer Club will hopefully have an under-9s, under-11s, under-13s and under-15s in the junior league, and a senior men’s in the BDSA league.
They will also gather interest for a senior women’s team for 2015. Under-13s will be the new addition to the Daylesford ranks, with many talented players rising through the under-11s from the 2013 season.
The under-13s will be coached by the talented and passionate Shanka Hackenburger, with five players still needed to field a strong team. “The club welcomes players for the under-13s to step up and have some fun in the 2014 season,” Hackenburger said.
The under-15s will be coached by the experienced Marcus McIntosh, who brings an international flavour to the scene, with Dragi Koleski again coaching the seniors.
Players will be able to get an information pack about the season ahead, including the fee structure and key contacts.
Training has started and is held on Wednesday nights at Victoria Park Oval 2, with juniors at 4pm and seniors at 6pm. “Players will be coached by an incredible array of local and international talent this season, with most age groups catered for,” club president Ivan Carter said.
“Registration day will be the best time to get involved and register an early interest before the season starting in late March”.
