INVERELL Motor Cycle Sports Club holds Round 1 of the Northern NSW Challenge.
Competitors from the coast, Central west and lower Queensland usually converge on the outstanding Inverell track to vie for the podium finish.
Coastal riders are already signing up for the practice day being held at the track this month on Sunday, February 16. They don’t want the local riders to have too much advantage with track knowledge.
During December the track was hit pretty hard with the turbulent windstorms. Tree limbs were down across access roads and the track, even the roof had been blown off the amenities block. The club held a very successful working bee this weekend and the track is looking great. A big thank you to JS & SL Constructions Pty Ltd for donating their time & expertise to put a roof back on the amenities block.
Any children wanting to have a try at motocross will need to attend a kick start day. During this day they learn about motorbike safety as well as how to handle the bike through corners, sand traps and over jumps. These days are held at no charge to the participants.
Thenext kick start day is to be held Saturday, February 15.
Anyone interested please phone James Smith on 0428 658 579 to book in by Thursday this week.
